Aleshia Johnson - CEO
Aleshia Johnson is Executive Director of Warehouse Circus (2010 - present), and now the CEO of Hand to Hand Academy. Aleshia guided Warehouse Circus' growth from 140 weekly participants to +600 across two venues, offering a full complement of circus classes and opportunities for Canberrans managing complex disabilities; classes for young people facing comparative disadvantage and structural barriers to participation; several festivals; an agency, and retail circus equipment shop.
Goldele Rayment - Head of Education pathways
Goldele Rayment is an actor, director, dramaturge, writer and teaching artist. She holds a Bachelor of Performing Arts from Monash University.
Nicole Calvert -Working Safely at Heights Tutor
Nicole is passionate about safety and safe approaches to risk. She has a long career in ropes, climbing, and rescue. Nicole contributed enormous work to help ensure Hand to Hand Academy has robust safety systems for its training.
Idris Stanbury - Teaching Artist
Idris Stanbury is an award-winning, internationally touring circus artist, clown, actor, and comedian. He studied at Circoarts, the National Institute of Circus Arts, and acting courses before forming the Circus Firemen, some of Australia's most popular circus performers.
Morgan Hain - Digital Media Manager
Morgan is adept at at digital creation, making and editing videos, poster design, and is also a talented musician and actor, recording with her band Hexe.
Morgan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Film Production and a Certificate IV in Acting.
She also has experience working in professional TV and film, working as an extras casting coordinator for season 1 and 2 of ABC’s Austin, as well as the Canberra shoot for the 2021 Hollywood blockbuster film Blacklight.
Ben Martin - Business Manager
Ben has been at Warehouse Circus since 2017, when they took up the role of Finance Manager. In 2020, their role expanded to Business Manager. They are very passionate about, acting, musical theatre, circus, and the performing arts, and the impact that the arts have on people’s lives.
Annabel Carberry - Teaching Artist
Annabel has been in circus since she was 12 years old.
Starting in the Flying Fruit Fly Circus, Annabel graduated from the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) in 2004. She founded The Little Circus of Elsewhere; She has performed with CiRCA, Swamp Circus, The Insect Circus, and No Fit State Circus. She specialises in hula hoops, swinging cloudswing, and aerial ring.
Daniel Kirkby - Teaching Artist
Daniel Kirkby completed a Bachelor of Musical Theatre at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. Daniel started actor training with a Certificate course in Music Theatre at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts before moving to Brisbane to further his training. He is a working actor, and a great acting coach!
Tom Davis - Marketing Support
Tom grew up at Warehouse Circus before moving to Melbourne to attend the National Institute of Circus Arts, graduating 2010. Since then he has created award-winning circus shows, toured with Circus Oz across Australia and North America, toured the country with Solid State Circus, Highwire events, and more.
Tom became Artistic Director of Warehouse Circus in 2020, spearheading the design and delivery of the first Canberra Circus Festival.
