    Course Description:


    • Develop and adapt acting techniques for performing to camera for television & film productions, multimedia displays, or online environments.
    • Explore ways performers use voice and convey emotion for screen. 
    • Study basic vocal health and voice production techniques. 
    • Learn how to break down and convincingly perform scripts for the camera.

    Idris is an internationally touring clown, comedian, and performing artist. Idris holds a Bachelor of Circus Arts and is a professional in Clowning and juggling. A full time performer and producer in circus and comedy, touring numerous shows globally to sold out audiences


    Course Description:

    Explore the fundamentals of mime and physical theatre, focusing on body control, precision and expressive movement. Develop techniques such as isolation, fixed points, and the illusion of weight to create believable invisible objects and environments. Build the skills to communicate emotion, action and narrative without words, using only the body to craft clear, engaging scenes and stories from nothing.


    You can also Study Movement Foundations and Mime together as an accredited unit of study -  NAT10915011 Expand physical vocabulary.


    This unit counts towards the   10915NAT Certificate IV in Acting.

    Goldele Rayment is an actor, director, dramaturge, writer and teaching artist. She holds a Bachelor of Performing Arts from Monash University. Goldele has taught adults and young people in a wide variety of contexts including at Perform Australia, Shopfront Arts, the Marian Street Theatre For Young People, the Canberra Theatre Centre, and now for Hand to Hand Academy.


    Course Description:

    Study basic vocal health and voice production techniques!

    Explore ways  performers use their voice. Participants will undertake vocal training to develop a voice able to cope with the demands of being a performer.

    A Performer must apply a high level of physical awareness and control to integrate voice, movement and acting technique in performance. This course improves body awareness, mind/body and audience connection to expand your physical vocabulary in performance.

    Course Description:

    Develop instinctive, reflexive responses as an actor, so that in the moment of performance, responses to in-scene stimuli are spontaneous, genuine, and uninhibited by intrusive analytical thought. 

    Through listening and responding in this way, actors create an authentic existence in performance. Connections between actors in performance enrich an audience’s enjoyment and engagement.


    This course can be studied as an accredited unit of study - NAT10915011 Express emotion in performance. This unit counts towards the  10915NAT Certificate IV in Acting.

    Develop the skills and knowledge to apply theatrical make-up and hairstyles for performances.

    Ideal for singers, actors, dancers, circus performers, and comedians performing in commercial, competition or community settings. 


    This course can be studied as an accredited unit of study -  CUAMUP511    Apply theatrical make-up and hairstyles. This unit counts towards the  11017NAT Advanced Diploma of Performance.
