HISTORY
Hand to Hand Academy (RTO Number 40859) is Canberra’s only accredited training provider dedicated to performing arts training.
Hand to Hand Academy was born in 2025 when Warehouse Circus inc. purchased the RTO of Perform Australia, Canberra's accredited acting school.
Warehouse was given Perform's high-quality equipment, library, and other resources when taking on the business, as well as a roster of excellent acting coaches and administrative staff.
These amazing people, history, and equipment merged with the great team at Warehouse Circus, and moved to Warehouse's wonderful circus space and offices at the Chifley Health and Wellbeing Hub.
Warehouse then adapted existing rooms to make new spaces, including a theatrette studio, a music room, library, storeroom, and other improvements to be able to deliver accredited courses of excellent quality to all who seek them.
Warehouse Circus’s community values extend into Hand to Hand Academy’s inclusive approach to training.
Our Canberra training takes place in Chifley, ACT at Canberra Performing Arts Warehouse HQ, within the Chifley Health and Wellbeing Hub.
This venue features the Warehouse Circus training space with aerial rig, a smaller acting and film studio room, a student library and multi-purpose meeting space good for study, meetings, practicing lines and vocal classes.
The wider hub also contains a community gym, a range of other health services and communal spaces such as kitchens and meeting spaces that students can use.
Student Lockers are also available at this venue.
We are a short walk from the Chifley shops, buses and the Woden town centre.
We stage productions at professional venues such as the Tuggeranong Arts Centre, the Street Theatre and other locations including as part of festivals and events, ensuring students get hands on experience in working theatres and as part of larger events.
